Advertising Policy
Global Virology Reports (GVR) maintains a strict separation between advertising and editorial content. The acceptance and placement of advertising does not constitute an endorsement by the journal, its editors, or its publisher. All advertisements are held to high standards of integrity and must be clearly distinguishable from scholarly content.
Advertisement Eligibility and Content Standards
All advertisements must be:
· Relevant: Appropriate for an audience of academic researchers, clinicians, and professionals in virology and related fields.
· Ethical: Adhere to generally accepted standards of public decency and must not be offensive, discriminatory, or defamatory.
· Accurate and Non-Misleading: All claims must be substantiated, verifiable, and clearly presented. Advertisements for products and services must disclose the full cost and any significant limitations.
· Compliant with Regulations: Advertisements for pharmaceutical products, diagnostic tools, or medical devices must comply with all relevant regulatory standards in the countries where the journal is distributed.
Prohibited Content
GVR will not accept advertisements that:
· Make unsubstantiated or exaggerated claims.
· Are deceptive, fraudulent, or plagiarized.
· Promote tobacco products, illicit drugs, or weapons.
· Undermine the integrity of the peer-review process or the journal's editorial independence.
Placement and Identification
· Clear Distinction: All advertisements will be explicitly labeled as "Advertisement" or "Promotional Content" and will be displayed in a manner that ensures they are not confused with published scholarly articles.
· Non-Interference: Advertising will not be allowed to influence editorial decisions in any way. The Editor-in-Chief has final authority over all editorial content, regardless of advertising relationships.
Review Process
All prospective advertisements are subject to review and approval by the journal's publisher or designated advertising manager. GVR reserves the right to reject or cancel any advertisement at any time.
