Paper Prints Policy

1. Policy Statement

 

Global Virology Reports (GVR) is an online-only, fully open access journal. All articles, editorials, reviews, perspectives, and other published content are made available exclusively in digital form through the official GVR website.

 

GVR does not publish, distribute, or routinely produce physical print issues or printed copies of individual articles.

 

2. Version of Record

 

The digital version published on the GVR website constitutes the Version of Record. The Version of Record is the authoritative and citable version of each publication and contains the article's DOI, bibliographic information, publication date, licensing information, and other relevant metadata.

Any citation of a GVR publication should refer to its official digital Version of Record and DOI.

3. Printed Copies by Authors or Third Parties

Authors, readers, libraries, institutions, conferences, and other organizations may independently print or download articles for personal, educational, institutional, or archival purposes, subject to the applicable Creative Commons license and any other relevant copyright or licensing conditions.

GVR does not provide or arrange commercial printing, print-on-demand services, physical delivery, or fulfillment of printed copies.

Independent printing of an article does not constitute a separate edition or version of the publication and does not alter its DOI, citation details, publication date, or Version of Record.

4. Archiving and Preservation

GVR maintains appropriate digital preservation and archiving arrangements to support the long-term accessibility and integrity of its published content. Where physical copies are required by a library, national authority, legal-deposit requirement, accreditation body, or other institution, such copies may be produced independently by the relevant organization from the official digital Version of Record, subject to the applicable license and legal requirements.

GVR does not maintain routine physical archival copies of its publications.

5. Policy Review

This policy may be reviewed periodically to ensure that GVR's publication and preservation practices remain consistent with its online-only, open access, and digital-first publishing model.
